| ‘Two-way conversation’ sought on women’s prison in Concord |

CONCORD — The state has a design firm and a construction manager for the new women’s prison, but state officials say the design is not a done deal. The first of the three stakeholder meetings is tonight, with state and city representatives invited to look at the architectural firm’s sketches and provide input for the final design of the 224-bed prison, which is to be sited behind the men’s prison on North State Street. Tonight’s meeting is at 6 at New Hampshire Health and Human Services, Brown Building Auditorium, 129 Pleasant St. Other meetings, set for March 12 and 19, are for agencies, organizations and people who work with, or on behalf of, prisoners, as well as abutters.
