IONIA, MI – About two years ago, Michael Elliot listened as another inmate at the Ionia Correctional Facility described a “weak spot” in prison security. Elliot had reason to pay attention. He considered escape his only way out from serving four natural life sentences for a quadruple murder. Four months ago, his planning started taking shape.
