About 150 people gathered Thursday at Camp Shelby’s Dolton Hall to witness the graduation of the Southern Regional Public Safety Institute’s 2014-01 Basic Law Enforcement Training Class. The ceremony was the culmination of an 11-week, 480-hour curriculum that included training in areas such as police ethics, survival and defensive tactics, hostage negotiations, and investigative knowledge and skills.
