Waterloo, NY - An inmate from the Five Points Correctional Facility in Romulus was arraigned Monday on charges that he murdered his cell mate in December. Brian J. Karris is accused of felony murder in the death of Thomas Blancke on Dec. 14. He is accused of causing blunt force injuries to Blanke's head and neck and of strangling him. Karris, 37, was serving a sentence for second degree assault, a hate crime, for a crime that occurred in Suffolk County, according to state Department of Corrections records. Read More. |
