Although the "experiment" with the Aramark Corporation running the food service for prisons throughout Michigan is failing miserably,Governor Snyder will do anything he can to introduce "businesses' into the MDOC.Mark my words, there will be a major incident,if not multiple major incidents, because of Aramark this summer in Michigan prisons. What a coincidence they are ramping up squad training and hostage negotiation training among ERT members this winter in anticipation of trouble. The big push in Michigan is privatization and getting the convicts on the street anyway they can.I can't even begin to fathom what it will be like working at a Michigan prison in 10 years.(Thank God I'm out in less than a year)They are making it so difficult to even get the training to work in the MDOC and so unattractive that I think Snyder and his boys will push privatizing claiming they can get no one to replace anyway that leaves. If,and when, they finally terminate the contract with Aramark they will have to start from scratch again because most if not all of the food service people have left or taken the training to be absorbed as CO's,and they ain't going back.
