Police ask public for help finding inmate who walked away from halfway house

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Authorities in New Hampshire are asking the public for help locating an inmate who walked away from a minimum security halfway house in Manchester on Thursday.

The new Hampshire Department of Corrections reports that around 9:30 am Thursday, Victor Soto Jr., 37, was found missing from his room at the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester. Corrections officers searched the entire facility and after he wasn't found on the property, Soto was determined to have left the facility without permission.
