| Oregon corrections officer missing in Snake River jetboat accident to be memorialized Friday |

An eastern Oregon corrections officer who vanished in a March 21 jetboat accident on the Snake River will be remembered Friday in a memorial service in Caldwell, Idaho. Officer Ricky Flores was 42 when the 24-foot jetboat he was in capsized in the Wild Sheep Rapids north of the Hells Canyon Dam, during an excursion with fellow corrections officers Charles Gissel and Eric Meyerhoffer, who survived, The Argus Observer reported. The formal search for Flores was suspended on April 1. The three corrections officers worked at the Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario. Read More. |
