Jackson County deputies captured an escaped inmate less than three hours after he slipped away from a work assignment, allegedly making his getaway by stealing the car of an employee at his job site. Authorities allege that Jackson County jail trustee Brandon Tyus had been emptying trash out of an office at the Division of Driver’s License, located at 3613 U.S. Highway 90, when he took the keys to the green Toyota Corolla. Tyus was wearing green, jail-issued pants, a white t-shirt and cowboy boots when he was last seen, officials reported as the search for him began. Read More. |
