| Agencies make pitch for county mental health dollars |

BLOOMINGTON — Two mental health providers vying for county mental health funding presented their plans Thursday to address deficiencies in local services, most notably help available for people in crisis. Staff with the McLean County Center for Human Services and Chestnut Health Systems spoke to the McLean County Board of Health on their funding requests. The county received $2.1 million in requests from community providers for the $1.1 million currently levied for mental health programs. CHS clinical director Ann Janes said the agency is seeking $375,000 to expand its crisis care program by adding two people to respond to calls.
