Yolanda Jackson is the mother of Pippa Hall-Jackson, a former inmate at Hays State Prison who was killed in February 2013. Speaking at a Capitol hearing Thursday, she said her 19-year-old son was stabbed by a fellow inmate at Hays while exiting a bus headed to another prison. Jackson said her son feared for his life just weeks before he was killed, and she wants the prison held accountable for his death. “We just need some closure. We need some help.
