CHESTER, Illinois — A spokesman for the Illinois Department of Corrections says a lockdown at the state's largest maximum security prison is largely over. Tom Shaer says Thursday that the entire maximum-security facility at Menard Correctional Center southeast of St. Louis is off all levels of lockdown.
