| Judge finds inmate guilty of attack on prison guards |

Carrie Seichter and Tom Cicha wanted the maximum punishment for their attacker. “He has taken a part of my (life) and my family’s life that I can never get back,” Seichter said. She and Cicha were working as corrections officers at the Stanley Correctional Institute in 2012 when an inmate assaulted them as his cell was being searched. In Chippewa County Court Tuesday, Paul Golden was found guilty and sentenced to six additional years in prison by Judge Roderick Cameron for two counts of felony battery by an inmate for the April 16, 2012 attack.
