| 3 men charged after trying to sneak drugs, contraband into Parchman |

JACKSON, Mississippi -- Investigators with the Mississippi Department of Corrections seized two large bags of prison contraband and charged three men -- all of whom have criminal records and were still under supervision when arrested -- on multiple counts. Authorities say 26-year-old Vincent McGee, 25-year-old Oriente Taylor and 29-year-old Desmond Evans tried to sneak contraband into Unit 29 at the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman. Each man is charged with introduction of a controlled substance into a correctional facility, introduction of contraband into a correctional facility, two counts of conspiracy and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
