| Inmate smuggles loaded handgun into jail |

A female inmate at the Butler County (Ohio) Jail is facing additional charges after she allegedly smuggled a loaded weapon into the jail. Amanda Brockman, 22, of Hamilton was brought into the jail on Nov. 11. At the time she was booked, authorities were not aware that Brockman had a loaded handgun inside her vaginal area. Officials said Brockman removed the weapon on Nov. 12, discarded it in a feminine napkin and placed it into the jail trash. The trash bin remained on jail property throughout the weekend. Investigators recovered the weapon Tuesday afternoon. Brockman is facing an additional charge of illegal conveyance. |
