| Monticello Man Who Attempted Escape Gets Extended Jail Time |

A Monticello man who fled a “halfway” house near Highway 25 and was later discovered at a Wright County convenience store will get extended jail time, according to the latest sentencing information from Wright County District Court. According to Attorney Tom Kelly’s office, Daniel Joseph Rossberg, 23, Monticello, was sentenced on April 30 for Probation Violations for Felony Failure to Register as a Sex Offender to 18 months prison. Rossberg was also sentenced for Gross Misdemeanor Obstructing Legal Process to 365 days jail, concurrent; and sentenced for Felony Terroristic Threats to a stay of execution for five years on conditions of probation, serve 90 days jail, concurrent. Rossberg is to have no use or possession of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, submit to random testing, provide DNA sample, have no contact with victims, have no use or possession of firearms or dangerous weapons, have no same or similar violations.
