A Charlotte County (Fla.) inmate charged with retaliation against a witness was found not guilty by a jury Tuesday. But the jury said Sean Allen Howard, 30, was guilty of misdemeanor battery against the man, David Knight, who is a witness against Howard in several felony cases, according to court records. Authorities said Howard struck Knight in the face Aug. 17 at the Charlotte County jail. Defense lawyer Mark DeSisto is also representing Howard in several other felony cases, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and grand theft. |
