| Sale of former Lyon Mountain prison moving forward |

DANNEMORA — The State Department of Corrections has agreed to foot water bills incurred at the former Lyon Mountain State Correctional Facility since its closure in 2011. This will allow the state to move forward with the sale of the 27.3-acre property, which includes 23 buildings comprising 90,676 square feet. Dannemora Town Supervisor William Chase said he recently received word from the State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision that it plans to make Clinton County whole for the past two years' worth of the former prison's re-levied water bills that the county has paid the town.
