| Corrections officers suffer from smoke in prison fire |

Ten corrections officers were treated for smoke inhalation following a small electrical fire at the Groveland Correctional Facility in Livingston County Monday evening. An electrical shortage in an air conditioning unit on the second floor of the Peterson Academic Building at Groveland sparked a small fire, said New York State Police Trooper Larry LaRose. The fire was "very, very small," and was contained to the motor of the wall-mounted unit, he said. No inmates were in the Peterson Academic Building at the time, LaRose said. Read More. |
