IONIA COUNTY, Mich (May 22, 2014) – An inmate serving time for a second-degree murder conviction attempted to escape a prison facility in Ionia County on Wednesday. 20-year-old Marc Leverette of Flint had just been transferred to the Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility on Tuesday after staying at the Woodland Center Correctional Facility in Livingston County.
