| Chaplains help inmates express grief at loved one’s death |

Every day, inmates in Ohio’s prisons are told that a loved one is gravely ill or has died. With every notification, inmates are reminded that they have lost the freedom to grieve with family and friends. Prison chaplains, religious groups, psychologists and others say that grief, often suppressed and unaddressed, grows during a prison term.
