| Second death at Charlotte County Correctional Institute prompts state investigation |

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Following the death of another inmate early Thursday morning, the Florida Department of Corrections says they have launched a second investigation at the Charlotte County Correctional Institute. The inmate is identified as 37-year-old Damion Foster. He was serving a life sentence at the prison. In a press release from the Florida Department of Corrections, it says the DOC is assisting the Florida Department of Law Enforcement with both investigations.
