Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) operates four prisons in Eloy and two in Florence. The company’s Eloy prisons are the Eloy Detention Center, which has 1,500 beds for detainees of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); La Palma Correctional Center, which has 3,060 beds for California inmates; Red Rock Correctional Center, which has 1,596 beds for Arizona inmates; and Saguaro Correctional Center, which has 1,896 beds for the Hawaii Department of Public Safety and the U.S. Marshal’s Service (USMS). CCA’s Florence prisons are Central Arizona Detention Center, which has 2,304 beds holding prisoners for USMS and ICE, and Florence Correctional Center, which has 1,824 beds for USMS, ICE and the states of Vermont and California.
