| Arkansas DOC wants new prison, more funding |

That was the word of the day when the Arkansas Board of Corrections met at the Norfork River Resort on Thursday. "If" the board could agree on what to request from the state legislature. "If" the state legislature was going to hold a special session this summer. If those things happen, the Department of Correction hopes to receive slightly more than $6 million in recurring annual funding to open 600 existing beds in the state prison system. Read More. |
