A Wyoming inmate died of an apparent heart attack in a Nevada prison, authorities said. John Sullivan was pronounced dead at 8:15 p.m. last Tuesday at the High Desert State Prison in Indian Springs, Nev., according to a statement released last Thursday by the Wyoming Department of Corrections. Prison medical staff performed CPR after being called about 7:15 p.m. Sullivan was serving two concurrent sentences. The first sentence was for first degree sexual assault, 45 to 50 years; and the second was for kidnapping, 18 to 20 years. He was sentenced in Fremont County by Judge D. Terry Rogers on Aug. 12, 1997. He was in the Nevada facility due to lack of space in Wyoming prisons. |
