DECATUR – Terrance Lloyd, who was wanted by police for failing to show up for his sentencing hearing for an armed habitual criminal conviction, was arrested by U.S. Marshals on Tuesday. Lloyd, 25, a convicted crack cocaine dealer with a lengthy history of violence against women, was sentenced to 15 years in prison June 5. Circuit Judge Thomas E. Griffith said he took into consideration the failure of Lloyd to appear in court when he determined his sentence. At the time he was taken into custody Tuesday, Lloyd was also wanted in connection with pending cases of aggravated domestic battery, for punching a woman in the face while she was holding a baby, knocking both to the ground; aggravated criminal sexual abuse, for sex with a 14-year-old girl in 2013; and criminal damage to property, for smashing car windows of a man who was visiting Lloyd's former girlfriend.
