| Probate Court sees success curbing juvenile delinquency |

Midland County Probate Court continues to excel in its efforts to curb juvenile delinquency. Probate Judge Doreen S. Allen recently presented the Probate Court Annual Report — 2013 to the Midland County Administration and Operations Committee and explained the rate of siblings entering the court through delinquency is on the decline. In 2004, the percentage stood at 15, compared to 3 percent in 2012. “We did a study in 2004 as to what we could do differently in the court as far as programming for kids with the idea that we would do more local programming,” Allen said. “At that time we found the actual calculations of how much it cost and what percentage of kids had siblings entering the court system.” Read More. |
