PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) - A convicted murderer serving a 240-month sentence at the Arkansas Department of Corrections' Pine Bluff Unit reportedly walked away from his work assignment Saturday evening. Shea Wilson with ADC said Timothy Buffington, 47, is being searched for in the area of Princeton Pike, which is near the Pine Bluff Unit. He is said to be 5'6" and about 182 pounds, with a scar on his upper left arm and his right wrist. On Sunday night, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office officials told THV11 that Buffington took a hostage while he was escaping Saturday night, but she has since been able to escape. He is now reportedly believed to be armed with a shotgun and a backpack of ammo. Read More. |
