Oregon prison authorities have confirmed cases of chickenpox at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem and Two Rivers Correctional Institution in Umatilla. One person at each prison has been diagnosed with the disease. The outbreaks are the third and fourth in Oregon Department of Corrections facilities in the last two months, according to prisons spokeswoman Betty Bernt. Authorities are allowing visiting rooms in the two prisons to remain open, but they are warning visitors with auto-immune disorders, or those who are pregnant – or might be pregnant – not to enter for now.
