Skeletal remains spotted Monday near Spooner Lake about 300 yards off U.S. 50 were found by an inmate crew with the Nevada Division of Forestry, authorities said. The crew spotted the remains scattered about in heavily forested area in the "middle of nowhere," Douglas County sheriff's Sgt. Pat Brooks said. The remains were found north of U.S. 50 just east of the Tahoe Rim Trail and west of Kings Canyon Road. Read More. |
