PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) - According to Shea Wilson with the Department of Corrections, on Tuesday evening around 10:15, a man said that he saw escaped murderer Timothy Buffington in a field in Grant County. As of 1:30 a.m. search dogs did not pick up any scent near the county line. Search dogs and National Guard helicopters have not picked up any possible traces just yet, but law enforcement said they will continue to search for Buffington through the night and into Wednesday morning. In addition, authorities in Jefferson County said they searched an area where neighbors said they heard someone bang on a house, causing dogs to bark, but his scent was not picked up.
