| Multiple "sightings" of escapee Buffington, still no major leads |

PINE BLUFF (KATV) – Numerous calls came into Arkansas Department of Corrections dispatchers on Wednesday with reports of alleged sightings of, and suspicious activity thought to be escaped murderer Timothy Buffington. The reports came from several miles around the ADC Pine Bluff Unit, many now in Grant County, but none of them came up positive for the runaway trusty inmate. Wednesday afternoon, bloodhounds were released on property down County Road 3563 in the community of Grapevine, in Grant County for an alleged sighting of Buffington. “The woman had witnessed a person come up near her home who met that description,” said Shea Wilson, ADC spokesperson. Wilson said the woman described seeing a man in camouflage, especially denoting the floppy hat Buffington was last seen wearing in surveillance video Saturday night. Officers were able to catch up with the man who ended up being a logger driving an ATV back to his truck and happened to match the description. Read More. |
