| LaECI inmates prepare for life outside the fence |

CONNEAUT — More than two dozen potential employers and social agencies gathered at Lake Erie Correctional Institution Wednesday morning to help inmates make a smooth switch to civilian life. A Job Fair conducted in the prison’s recreation building introduced inmates on the verge of release with opportunities and assistance once outside LaECI. A wide range of vendors ringed the gymnasium, and dozens of inmates clustered around the tables, filling out applications and gathering information. The program is geared to inmates who have less than six months to go on their sentences, said Clarice Wofford, re-entry coordinator for the prison.
