In less than a week, Greg Nicholson and Ken Bidwell will hit the books at the Napa County jail, studying for their high school diploma equivalency test. The two men are among a dozen inmates at the jail who have been selected for the facility’s new program, which prepares inmates for the General Educational Development Test — or GED. Nicholson, 34, a former Stockton resident who lives in Napa, wants to pass the GED in order to go to college to study art. He eventually hopes to open a tattoo shop. Read More. |
