Prisoners to help Macon-Bibb public works

On the first day of the fiscal year for the newly consolidated Macon-Bibb, the commission will meet to discuss and vote on county business.

Commissioners plan to renew a $118,000 contract with the Department of Corrections.

That means three crews of Dooly State prisoners will help the public works department clean up right-of-ways, the landfill, and shrubbery.
