TAYLOR — A prisoner used a makeshift weapon to attack a public service officer June 24 at the city jail. Shawn Paul Grossman, 35, was being escorted out of his prison cell to make a phone call when he allegedly pulled out a short piece of metal and held it to the officer’s throat.
