Corrections Employees Will Need A Pay Increase To Remain Competitive

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- The year ahead could once again bring growing short falls in the Shawnee County budget.

Correction Director, Brian Cole told County Commissioners at a budget meeting that his department is losing quality people because it can't pay a competitive wage.

Cole, says to bring everyone up to comparable levels would cost $2.5 million.
