| Medical examiner rules inmate died from complications of gastric ulcer |

WILLMAR — Delbert Huber, 83, the rural Paynesville man sentenced to more than 30 years in prison for shooting and killing Timothy Larson in October 2011, died June 11 from natural causes connected to “complications of a perforated gastric ulcer,’’ according to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office. Lori Hedican, chief investigator for the office, said the Department of Corrections investigates the deaths of all prisoners in its custody. Sometimes when prisoners are on hospice or in the infirmary, for example, no further investigation is needed if they die under medical supervision. But because of the circumstances of the murder case, it was deemed necessary to do an autopsy, said Hedican. Read More. |
