Inmate kicks corrections officer in the chest, breaks two ribs

An unruly inmate broke a corrections officer’s ribs during a struggle Friday evening at the Aurora Police Department, police said.

According to police reports, officers went to Hesed House, 600 block of South River Street, around 9:33 p.m. Friday to deal with a man fighting with staff members.

Police took Antonio Alanis, 42, homeless, into custody on criminal trespass and battery charges. He was taken to the police station at 1200 E. Indian Trail for booking, where officers said Alanis became increasingly combative.
