Yavapai Silent Witness is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who deputies say escaped from the Camp Verde Detention Center on Saturday while waiting to begin a 24-year sentence with the Arizona Department of Corrections. Court records show 28-year-old Wade Cole Dickinson was sentenced July 9 to 24 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to false reporting of a stolen vehicle, theft, prohibited possession of a firearm, weapons misconduct and possession of dangerous drugs, all while he was on probation. He was awaiting transfer to prison when deputies say he escaped. At around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dickinson managed to scale a wall in the recreation center of Camp Verde Detention Center, break through overhead security fencing to get to the roof and climb down the opposite side of the wall, said Dwight D'Evelyn, a spokesman for the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
