LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. —The female inmate who walked way from a work detail Thursday is in custody, according to the Laurens County Sheriff's Office. Kimberly Jane Collins was apprehended by the Laurens County Sheriff's Office and State Law Enforcement Division and Correction officials just before 6 p.m., said a release from the South Carolina Department of Corrections. Sheriff Ricky Chastain said Collins, who is in the custody of the S.C. Department of Corrections, walked away from a work detail along Interstate 26 near Clinton. Read More. |
