Although he was currently awaiting trial on the “non-violent” offenses of fraudulent use of a credit card, a man who escaped the Pettis County Jail late Thursday night and is still at large as of Monday has a prior record of assault, drug use, theft, burglary and resisting arrest spanning a decade. Prosecutors charged Brandon E. McGee, 29, of the 24000 block of state Route V, with one count of escape from confinement, a class D felony, on Friday. Bond is not an option. “You can run but you can’t hide,” said Capt. Dave Keller, of the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office. “We are going to get this guy.
