(08-03) 17:12 PDT -- Authorities arrested an inmate Sunday who was serving a life sentence for murder after he escaped from a state prison on Saturday. Deputies nabbed Jeffrey Landers, 34, just after 2 p.m. in an orchard near Merced, department of corrections officials said. Authorities found Landers armed with a 10-inch screwdriver but took him safely back into custody without a struggle. Read More. |
