| Arkansas seeks proposals for a new state prison |

A proposed $100 million dollar state penitentiary could soon be built in Arkansas. However, where it will be constructed is still up for grabs. The city of Magnolia is planning to submit a proposal for the new prison in their community. "We're going to treat it like we can get it. We're going to work hard," said Magnolia Mayor Parnell Vann. Vann says the Arkansas Department of Corrections is interested in communities that have at least 400 acres of land, water, highway access, high-speed internet, hospital facilities and workforce training.
