| Re-jailed inmate takes case to Nebraska Supreme Court |

A Beatrice man pulled back into prison by corrections officials who say they let him out too early has asked the Nebraska Supreme Court to intervene. Kena Jackson, 40 and now doing time at the Work Ethic Camp in McCook, was one of 45 inmates rounded up by the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services after news broke that sentences had been calculated incorrectly. Late in June, officials quickly and quietly started pulling the inmates back into prison, saying they owed the state more time. Read More. |
