| Nebraska prisons department suspends workers |

LINCOLN, Neb. | The Nebraska prisons department has suspended some employees who are implicated in the miscalculation of sentences for hundreds of inmates. Nebraska Department of Correctional Services director Mike Kenney said in a news release that he couldn't release names or say how many employees were being suspended, but that more could yet be disciplined for their involvement. "I take full responsibility for correcting this problem," Kenney said. "I am determined to take whatever steps necessary to rebuild confidence in our abilities to act with diligence, accuracy and professionalism." Read More. |
