| Weigel named warden of transitional facilities |

BISMARCK, N.D. -- The director of the North Dakota Prisons Division has named Brian Weigel, a 16-year law enforcement veteran, as warden of transitional facilities. Director Leann Bertsch offered the job to Weigel last week, Department of Corrections spokesman Tim Tausend said Wednesday. In a Wednesday afternoon telephone interview, Weigel said the focus of his position is to make sure transitional inmates — those with three or fewer years remaining on their sentence — are prepared “for the free world.” Read More. |
