AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV)-- You could be searched and watched, and guarded by a fence. Yet, all these warning signs didn't stop what investigators call a "continuing criminal enterprise." Special agents have been trying to crack down on people who are smuggling banned items into the Augusta Correctional Center near Craigsville. According to an affidavit for a search warrant, the people involved were able to get cell phones, tobacco, even alcohol and drugs--heroin--into the center by throwing packages over the fence.
