Lansing, Mi (WorkersCompensation.com) - On Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at 3:45 p.m., a prisoner housed at the G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility stabbed a Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) employee multiple times with an ice pick prison-made weapon. The employee was a Resident Unit Manager (RUM) at the correctional facility and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The employee is still being treated at the hospital, but is expected to be discharged soon.
