Governor Tom Corbett has signed the execution warrant for a man from the Poconos convicted of murdering his girlfriend and child. In April of 2012 a jury in Monroe County decided Michael Parrish should be put to death after they found Parrish guilty of shooting and killing his girlfriend, Victoria Adams, and their 19-month-old son, Sidney Parrish. A judge formally sentenced Parrish to death the following month. The killings happened at the couple’s home near Effort in July of 2009. Read More. |
