| Inmate walks away from Conservation Camp |

BEN LOMOND >> A minimum-security inmate with the California Correctional Center walked away from a Ben Lomond Conservation Camp on Tuesday, law enforcement officials reported. Cal Fire staff discovered inmate John Collard missing at about 4 p.m., according to a California Department of Corrections press release. Collard, 56, is 5 feet 7 and 155 pounds, with green eyes and gray hair. He has been in the custody of he California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation since February 2013 and is scheduled for released Jan. 4, 2018. Collard was assigned to an inmate firefighting crew. The camp houses approximately 100 minimum-custody inmates. Read More. |
